What it is and whether it fits me

What exactly does Itura do?

Itura runs the daily work of a hotel, guest house or serviced apartment in one place: bookings and walk-ins, room and housekeeping status, guest bills and receipts, bar and kitchen orders, cash drawers and transfers, deposits, staff shifts, guest Wi-Fi codes, and owner reporting. It replaces the register book, the spreadsheet and the WhatsApp group with one live record of what happened.

My hotel has 12 rooms. Is this too big for us?

No. Twelve rooms is a normal Itura property. Small properties usually feel the difference fastest, because one unrecorded stay or one unmatched transfer is a large share of the month. You get the complete system at 12 rooms — nothing is held back on a smaller plan.

We use paper registers and a WhatsApp group. Can we move to this?

Yes, and most properties that join are doing exactly that. You can keep the paper register running alongside Itura for the first week or two while the desk gets comfortable. Guests already in house, your rate card and your company accounts can be brought in at the start, so you are not typing history at midnight.

Can I use Itura for a serviced apartment, or is it only for hotels?

Both. Apartments run on the same system with bedroom counts instead of single rooms, security deposits kept separate from the guest bill, and condition reports with photos at check-in and check-out.

We run a hotel with an apartment wing. Does that work as one property?

Yes. One property can hold ordinary rooms and multi-bedroom apartments side by side. Each is priced and billed by its own rules, and both appear on the same live room board and the same owner view.

Do I need to be technical to use it?

No. Itura is used on a normal computer or phone browser, with hotel language rather than software language. There is nothing to install on the cloud version, and a new front desk officer is trained on the screens they actually use, not the whole system.

Money and pricing

How much does it cost, and what's included?

From ₦25,000 a month for up to 10 bedrooms, rising with bedroom count: Desk ₦45,000, House ₦95,000, and group plans from ₦90,000 for owners with several properties. Every plan opens the complete system — front desk, rooms, bills, money control, till, Wi-Fi codes, apartments, staff, reporting — plus unlimited staff accounts and free updates.

Why is the price based on rooms?

Because rooms are what a property earns from, so the price grows with the business rather than with the number of people who need to sign in. One hotel room counts as one bedroom; an apartment counts its actual bedrooms. Staff accounts are unlimited and free, so nobody is ever left sharing a login to save money.

Is there a setup fee or a contract?

No setup fee on the cloud version, and no long contract. You pay monthly and can stop at the end of any month. Installing Itura on your own server in the building is different work and is quoted separately.

What happens after the 30-day trial?

Nothing disappears. You choose a plan to carry on, and every booking, bill and payment recorded during the trial stays exactly where it is.

Do I need a card to start?

No. You start the 30-day trial with an email address. Subscriptions are paid by bank transfer to Sabi Networks Limited against an invoice raised inside Itura, so there is no card on file at any point.

What happens if I stop paying — do I lose my records?

No. If an invoice goes unpaid the property is suspended, which means staff can no longer sign in and work — but nothing is deleted. Your bookings, bills, payments and guest history stay in place, and access returns as soon as payment is recorded. If you decide to leave properly, ask for your export before you close the account.

Is the price VAT inclusive?

Yes. Every price shown includes 7.5% VAT. The figure on the page is the figure on the invoice.

The problem you came for

How does Itura stop revenue leakage?

By making the four places money escapes visible on the same day rather than at the end of the month: a room occupied with no stay recorded, a payment claimed but never confirmed by the bank, a drawer that closes short, and a bill adjusted after the fact. Itura records who did what and when, so a difference has an explanation attached to it instead of a guess.

Someone sends a transfer screenshot. How does Itura know it's real?

It doesn't, and it does not pretend to. A screenshot is recorded as claimed money, not confirmed money. It only becomes confirmed when a line on your bank statement is matched to it. Until then the booking shows as awaiting confirmation, so the desk knows what it is holding.

Can staff delete or change records to hide something?

Not silently. Ordinary staff can add and correct their own work, but deleting a guest stay is limited to a duty manager or owner, roles and permissions are set by you, and changes leave a record of who made them. The point is not to stop corrections — it is to make sure a correction can always be explained.

Does the Leakage Shield accuse my staff of stealing?

No, and it is deliberately built not to. It flags situations that do not add up — a drawer difference, a confirmed payment with no bank line, a room shown occupied with no stay — and attaches the evidence. It never names a culprit or makes an allegation. What it does is give you the facts to ask a calm question instead of a shouting match.

Can I see what's happening at my hotel when I'm not there?

Yes. The owner view on your phone shows live occupancy, confirmed money today, arrivals, room readiness and anything needing attention. If you own several properties you see the group in one place as well as each property on its own.

Nigeria specifics

Does it handle VAT, service charge and state consumption tax?

Yes. You set your VAT rate, service charge and state consumption tax per property, and bills and receipts are calculated with them. Tax figures can be exported for your accountant or for a filing.

Can I export the guest register if the police or the state ask?

Yes. The guest register can be exported for any date range, with the details normally requested, and printed or handed over as a file.

Does it work with bank transfers, or do I need a card machine?

Transfers and cash are first-class in Itura — no card machine is needed. A transfer is recorded as claimed, then confirmed against the bank statement. If you also take card payments you record them as a payment method like any other.

Can it connect to my bank account automatically?

Not today. Itura does not link directly to your bank. You bring in the statement and Itura does the matching against what the desk recorded, which is the part that takes the time.

Is guest Wi-Fi charged for?

No. Guest Wi-Fi codes are included in every plan at no extra cost. A code is tied to a stay and stops at checkout, so the neighbours are not on your line for a month after the guest leaves.

Power, devices and your own server

What happens when electricity goes off?

Nothing is lost. Your records live on the server, not on the machine at the desk, so when power returns and a device comes back on the screen is exactly as it was. For the on-site version we require a UPS on the Itura machine and the network gear so the building's own copy shuts down cleanly.

Can I run Itura on a server in my own building?

Yes. Itura can be installed on a machine in your property so your records live in the building, with an outgoing link that keeps the owner view and public booking working from outside. It is installed by our engineer during a site visit and priced case by case.

Does Itura work on a phone?

Yes. The owner view, housekeeping, the room board and the daily screens are built to be used on a phone. The front desk is normally worked on a computer or tablet simply because it is faster for typing.

Getting started

How long does setup take?

Registering the property, listing rooms and setting rates is usually done in an afternoon. Bringing in existing guests, rate cards and company accounts adds a day or so depending on how much history you want carried over.

Can you move my existing bookings and guest records in?

Yes. Guests currently in house, your rate card and your company accounts with their opening balances can be brought in from a spreadsheet. Each file is checked before anything is saved, duplicates are caught, and you are shown exactly what will be created before you confirm.

How do I train staff who change often?

Training is built into the product rather than left to you. A new person is walked through their own screens the first time they sign in, there is a training page for their role they can return to, and printable one-page sheets for the desk drawer. A front desk officer learns only the front desk.

What happens when a staff member leaves?

You remove their access from the team screen and it stops immediately, including any outstanding sign-in codes. Everything they recorded stays in the history under their name. If someone is replacing them, you create the replacement as their own named account — staff never share one login.

Trust and privacy

Who owns my data?

You do. Your bookings, guests, bills and payments belong to your business. Sabi Networks Limited holds and processes them so the service can run, and does not sell them or use them for advertising.

Where is my data stored?

On the cloud version, in professionally managed data centres with protection in transit and at rest. If you would rather your records never leave the property, the on-site version keeps them on a machine in your building.

Can Itura staff see my hotel's records?

Only in two situations, and neither is casual browsing. A member of our team can sign in to your property to help when there is a support issue, and that access is limited and recorded. Separately, if you use the Ask Itura assistant, the question and the figures it reads for that answer are sent to the model provider that generates the reply — they are not used to train anyone's model, and the assistant can be switched off for your property under Admin, Modules. Otherwise your records are not visible to us.

What happens to guests' passport photos?

Identity photos are stored to satisfy the guest register requirement and are deleted automatically 30 days after the guest checks out. They are visible only to staff at that property who need them, and they are never used for anything else.

Is Itura secure?

Everything travels encrypted, every person signs in with their own account, and sign-in needs both a password and a one-time code sent by email. What each person can see and do is decided by their role, so the front desk does not see owner money screens. Records are backed up, and access to your property by our own team is limited and recorded.

Support and the company

Who is behind Itura?

Itura is developed and managed by Sabi Networks Limited, 129 Iju Road, Lagos, Nigeria.

What support do I get, and at what hours?

Support is included in every plan, by email to itura-support@sabinetworks.com, answered during Nigerian working hours Monday to Saturday. Anything that stops the front desk working is treated as urgent whenever it happens.

What if I want to leave — can I take my data with me?

Yes. You can ask for a full export of your property's records at any time, and the export stays available for 30 days after an account closes. There is no charge for leaving and nothing is held hostage.
